Benjamin H. Yormak Admitted To The United States Supreme Court

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Yormak Employment & Disability Law is pleased to announce that its founder, attorney Benjamin H. Yormak, Esq. has been admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court. Appearing before the justices of the nation’s highest court, Mr. Yormak’s admission was granted orally by Chief Justice John Roberts on May 28, 2013.

To appear in person before the Justices in the United States Supreme Court, in the very courtroom where landmark decisions affecting our fundamental rights and freedoms have been argued, is a privilege and is a great motivator to continue advocating on behalf of Florida’s workers to achieve equality and justice in the American workplace.”

Mr. Yormak is now admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Supreme Court of Florida and the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

He is also a member of National Employment Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, the Florida Employment Lawyers Association and the Lee County Bar Association. Mr. Yormak is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and Bowdoin College, and is a resident of Southwest Florida. He is also actively involved in the community and youth sports, and can often be found on the ice at Germain Arena.

Mr. Yormak is a strong supporter of pro bono and other volunteer efforts within the legal industry that seek justice for the disadvantaged. Mr. Yormak’s own recent pro bono efforts include work for Florida Rural Legal Services and Collier Legal Aid, in addition to working to free wrongly convicted persons with AIDWYC, a volunteer group founded by Rubin “Hurricane” Carter. Mr. Yormak previously worked with the United States Department of Justice and the Maine Volunteer Lawyer Project, and while in law school received the Pro Bono Service Award.
